Project Objectives
- To enhance the shelf life of fruits and vegetables by disseminating ZECS technology in the hills of SAARC countries.
- To increase the farm income by reducing stress sale and post-harvest glut situation of fruits and vegetables.
- To increase the availability of the fruits and vegetables during off-season by training the farmers for the adoption of ZECS technology.
Detail Activities
Agriculture is the engine of development for majority of the SAARC countries, often employing the majority of the population. SDF has actively promoted the integration of modern energy services with agriculture and horticulture in the region, to support social and economic development and to address the need for greatly expanded food production and food security.
